The corporate watchdog is reconsidering its use of infringement notices for continuous disclosure law breaches following the Morrison government’s move to make civil penalty proceedings more difficult to establish.

Treasurer Josh Frydenberg announced a permanent easing of disclosure laws last month as part of efforts to make it harder for disgruntled shareholders and class action lawyers to sue businesses.
