NDIS review proposes crackdown on unregistered providers

All National Disability Insurance Scheme service providers will need to be enrolled or registered, and their workers undergo mandatory training, under recommendations from an independent review of the NDIS.

The reviewers – Professor Bruce Bonyhady and Lisa Paul – said the level of red tape imposed on providers should be determined based on their risk level, but greater transparency around scheme payments was needed.
