Unions win on pattern bargaining

The Albanese government aims to have legislation ready by the end of the year to enable multi-employer bargaining and to modify the Better Off Overall Test in a bid to fix enterprise bargaining.

The embrace of multi-employer bargaining, demanded by the unions and confirmed by Workplace Relations Minister Tony Burke on day one of the Jobs and Skills Summit, has alarmed business.
