Scott Morrison has told voters they face a choice at the next election but on the issue that is perhaps most dear to Melburnians hearts - who does he barrack for in the footy - the Prime Minister is trying to make a virtue of choosing no one.

Unlike this predecessor Malcolm Turnbull, who once answered that the Sydney Roosters was his AFL team, Mr Morrison decided not get offside with the followers of the league's 17 other teams, particularly in a state where the Liberals are already bleeding votes.
