Deputy Prime Minister Richard Marles will visit the United States this week to shore up Australia’s defence and security relationship with the Trump administration.

With the Albanese government already on tariff alert after President Donald Trump launched a trade war this week, it is equally keen to buttress the defence relationship, including the AUKUS agreement.
