Liberal Tim Smith resigns after drink-driving crash

Victoria’s shadow attorney-general, Tim Smith, quit the frontbench on Sunday after crashing into another car while driving at more than twice the legal blood-alcohol limit.
The senior Liberal MP and outspoken critic of Premier Daniel Andrews allegedly collided with another car before crashing into a fence at the side of a house on Power Street, Hawthorn, about 9pm on Saturday.
