Liberal Party ‘lost control’ of brand and politics

The Liberal Party lost control of its brand and of the political debate, allowing Labor to frame the election contest, according to an internal examination of the party’s performance at the 2022 election.
Reflecting findings in Labor’s campaign post-mortem, Scott Morrison’s unpopularity was a “significant negative” with voters who saw the former prime minister and the party he led as “out of touch”.
