Letters: Super wreckers are at it again
Paul Keating on super and housing; Liberal Party’s woes; immigration and wages; LNG exports; Chanticleer columnist Tony Boyd.
Talk about learned nothing and forgotten nothing. Notwithstanding that the Liberals are now down to just two federal seats in Melbourne, Tim Wilson and Jason Falinski contemptuously push aside the aspirations of middle Australia for an adequate income in retirement to again argue that superannuation savings should be drained away for non-retirement purposes (“Why Aston lances Liberals’ delusions,” April 3).
They again wax lyrical about “the importance of home ownership over super”. Both lost their seats at the last federal election, both were identified with draining money out of super, yet this does not prevent them from running the specious nonsense again.
