Letters: Let’s drop energy blame game
Energy price cap; climate change; gas industry outcry; franking credits; Australia’s economic direction under Albanese; ‘stubborn’ journalists.
We really need to view the cost and supply of power to the grid in a much broader context, and it’s about time we were mature enough to drop the blame game (“Labor’s plan to make the energy crisis worse”, December 12). The reality is, for numerous reasons we’ve had our head in the sand when it comes to dialogue and action on the existential threat of climate change. In so doing, we’ve declared war on an unyielding opponent: the forces of nature. The only way out of this mess of our own making is to pull together.
