Labor’s Senate leader, Penny Wong, has paid tribute to the late Victorian senator Kimberley Kitching, defending the party’s response to her death and refusing to “return anger with anger”.
The Senate was recalled a day early on Monday for tributes to the 52-year-old, who died suddenly earlier this month after a suspected heart attack in Melbourne.
