Finance Minister Katy Gallagher has ruled out cutting existing contracts with the big four consulting firms – Deloitte, EY, KPMG and PwC – as part of the Albanese government’s push to save billions in federal government outsourcing.
Labor wants to save $3 billion in labour-hire and external contracting, including by moving outsourced employment in aged care and veterans affairs into permanent roles.
