Labor warns on production credits as Libs flag $92b in spending cuts

Resources Minister Madeleine King accused the Coalition of risking national security by pledging to revoke production tax credits for critical minerals, as shadow treasurer Angus Taylor confirmed they would be among $92 billion in Labor initiatives that would be unwound in the event of a Peter Dutton victory.

After The Australian Financial Review revealed the tax credits would be one of the measures on the Coalition’s chopping block so it could afford an income tax cut for middle-income “aspirational” voters, Ms King urged a rethink.
