Labor’s Right faction is agitating for an increased presence on the federal government frontbench, believing it is underrepresented and that the Left should give up one of its spots.

As Anthony Albanese ponders his options ahead of Sunday’s reshuffle, which will be the first since the May 2022 election, speculation is also intensifying that Clare O’Neil will be shifted from Home Affairs and be replaced by Agriculture Minister Murray Watt.
