‘Very nervous’: Polls close in Dunkley as Marles tips tight contest

Polls have closed in the seat of Dunkley after the prime minister revealed his birthday wish and noisy hecklers targeted the Liberal candidate as the major parties made their last-ditch pitch to byelection voters.
Both Labor and the Liberals have tempered expectations of victory in a vote triggered by the death of Labor MP Peta Murphy, who lost her battle with cancer at the end of last year.
