Ironically, Labor might be taking its own big gamble with the apparent decision not to set a blanket ban on gambling advertising (“Google exempt in gambling ad crackdown”).
The harm caused by problem gambling is well identified, but it seems to be taking a back seat to the damage that reduced advertising revenue might cause the television networks and the flow through to the major sporting codes.
