Frydenberg’s political comeback splits Liberals

Liberals are divided over the prospect former treasurer Josh Frydenberg may run in his old Melbourne seat of Kooyong at the next federal election.
The Australian Financial Review understands although Mr Frydenberg is yet to make a final call, he is not ruling out a rematch against teal independent Monique Ryan, who in 2022 defeated him after his 12 years in the seat.
