Australia’s former intelligence chief Duncan Lewis says defence innovation would get a spectacular boost if Australia finally signed up to the $163 billion Horizon Europe collaborative research fund.
“It seems like a no-brainer to me,” said Lewis, the former head of the Australian Security Intelligence Organisation who now chairs defence company Thales Australia and the European Australian Business Council.
