Anthony Albanese said Iran had brought upon itself the bombing of its nuclear facilities, as he belatedly backed the weekend raid by the United States aimed at degrading Tehran’s capacity to enrich uranium and build an atomic bomb.

Speaking more than 24 hours after the event, the Prime Minister said Iran was offered an opportunity last week by US President Donald Trump to negotiate but chose defiance.
