Inflated land purchase 'reflects poorly' on bureaucrats: Treasury boss

Treasury secretary Steven Kennedy has conceded he did not appreciate the significance of a $30 million land deal now subject to a corruption investigation, saying the controversy "reflects poorly" on the bureaucracy.

The Australian Federal Police is investigating the purchase of the Leppington Triangle land for the western Sydney airport development over concerns stemming from a bruising audit.
