Criminal investigation launched into Sydney airport land deal

The Australian Federal Police has launched an investigation into a land deal at the new Western Sydney airport that resulted in taxpayers paying $30 million for a block of land later valued at only $3 million.
The criminal investigation follows the release of a Auditor-General's report blasting the Infrastructure Department's "ethical standards" for having acquired the land known as the Leppington Triangle.
