Former bank boss David Murray says he would be very concerned if he were a customer of industry superannuation giant Cbus after it was revealed the CFMEU allegedly tried to use its influence over the fund to get corrupt building firms contracts.
He called for the federal government to mandate that super funds have only independent directors, overturning rules that allow unions and employers to cherry-pick equal portions of fund boards.
