A Labor government would create a new research body for top secret and cutting defence technology, modelled along the lines of the United States’ agency that gave the world technology such as the internet, GPS, Apple’s Siri and stealth aircraft.
Continuing with national security related announcements, the Opposition will announce on Thursday it would create the Advanced Strategic Research Agency (ASRA), arguing the government has neglected defence and national security research and funding.
