The son of former Victorian Liberal premier Ted Baillieu is demanding an investigation into a $500,000 donation made to right-wing advocacy group Advance Australia by an investment company aligned to the state Liberal branch.

Rob Baillieu, a local government councillor, long-time Liberal Party critic and volunteer for teal MP Monique Ryan at the 2022 federal election, said the donation may have led the Liberals to contravene the state’s donation laws.
