Government opts for user-pays approach on aged care
The Albanese government has all but confirmed that those with greater means will pay more for their aged care, including through the use of tailored superannuation products, under changes to be incorporated in the next budget in May.
The policy intent is outlined in a summary of the fifth and most recent meeting of the Aged Care Task Force, which is headed by the minister, Anika Wells, and which will release a final report in December.
