Labor to keep campaigning on IR despite BOOT backdown

Labor says it will continue to campaign on industrial relations all the way to the next federal election, despite the government dumping the most controversial proposal and signalling it has no intention of revisiting it.

In a bid to secure the passage of the remainder of measures in the omnibus bill of IR reforms, the government jettisoned the provision that would have enabled pandemic-affected employers to seek two-year workplace agreements that did not comply with the better off overall test (BOOT).
