On Monday, as the nation observed the first anniversary of the October 7 terrorist attacks against Israel, the Albanese government was copping it from both sides. Just as it has been for the past 12 months.

The Greens reheated their claims that Australia was “complicit in this appalling conflict”, while the Iranian government, which triggered the conflagration using its proxy Hamas and then allowed it to escalate by refusing to release the hostages, accused Australia of adopting “unjustified and biased positions” on Israel.
