Treasurer Jim Chalmers has added firepower to his competition taskforce, announcing a swath of lawyers, economists and business appointees to join the expert advisory panel.

The Treasury-based taskforce has been charged with conducting a two-year rolling review of Australia’s competition policies with the expert panel providing regular advice and input. The announcement of the new panel members came after the first meeting of the group in Sydney on Monday.
