Funding for commuter car parks, dams and controversial regional infrastructure grants has been scrapped as Labor banks $22 billion from slower spending and cuts to waste.

Finance Minister Katy Gallagher used Tuesday’s budget to confirm $6.5 billion in savings from delayed infrastructure projects and $3.6 billion from winding back big four consulting contracts and labour hire in the public service.
