The Australian public service is more unified now after the implementation of key reforms, according to former Prime Minister and Cabinet (PM&C) secretary Phil Gaetjens.

Speaking at his valedictory farewell Mr Gaetjens expressed pride in the embrace of reforms recommended by the Thodey review, citing an email from Mr Thodey complimenting him on the progress made to create “one APS”.
