Employer pessimism a wake-up call for political leaders, says Ai Group

More than 200 of the nation’s leading employers remain pessimistic about business and economic conditions for the year ahead, prompting renewed calls for political leaders to get serious about policies to try to restore productivity.

The latest annual Australian Industry Outlook for 2025, conducted by the Australian Industry Group, finds that while there is some uptick in expectations that customer demand will grow, strong negativity about the costs of doing business is firmly entrenched.
