Display and sale of Nazi symbols to be banned

The Nazi swastika and other hate symbols associated with Adolf Hitler’s regime will be banned from public display and sale in Australia, under planned changes to counterterrorism laws.
New criminal offences banning the display and trade of the Nazi Hakenkreuz – but not other swastikas used as religious symbols – will attract up to 12 months imprisonment, under changes expected to pass parliament this year.
