Detained Australian author vows to never confess despite Chinese pressure

Detained Australian author Yang Hengjun has vowed to defy Chinese authorities' attempts to break him and confess to spying, amid indications he could soon be put on trial 19 months after he was stopped at Guangzhou airport.
Supporters say that, as part of their efforts to wear him down, Chinese officials falsely told the Australian government Mr Yang had confessed.
