The Albanese government has decided to learn as little as possible about how to deal with the next pandemic. This is an absolute betrayal of all those who worked hard to overcome the COVID-19 crisis, which is still at large. This includes hundreds of thousands of small business people who fought to stay open and keep their employees during COVID – and the industry bodies who fought to help them.

This failure will only be on show when the next pandemic arrives.
