The Coalition has inched ahead in the popular vote for the first time since the federal election, putting Labor at risk of plunging deeper into minority government when voters next go to the polls.
And should Labor’s fortunes slide any further between now and polling day, the Coalition could come within striking distance of being able to form minority government.
