The Morrison government is considering spending billions more on childcare subsidies as part of a suite of measures to ease the cost burden on families, increase workforce participation and win back estranged women voters.
The moves could come as part of a big-spending budget promised by Prime Minister Scott Morrison and expected to target getting people back to work and areas including the NDIS and mental health.
