Chaney, McManus, Pocock back $30m push for ethics institute
Business leaders, academics, union officials and members of parliament from across the political divide are urging the federal government to invest in a national ethics institute, which experts claim would add billions to the economy.
A growing national distrust of institutions and corporations has prompted The Ethics Centre, the University of NSW and University of Sydney, to make a joint submission to Treasurer Jim Chalmers ahead of the May budget, requesting a $30 million federal grant to create the new institute.
