Taskforce aims to build back trust in government

Former Ramsay Foundation strategy lead Jeni Whalan will head a Home Affairs taskforce focused on strengthening democracy, building social trust in public institutions and responding to extremism and authoritarianism.
The taskforce has been established by Home Affairs Minister Clare O’Neil to provide her with “concrete initiatives to bolster Australia’s democratic resilience and enhance trust among citizens, and between citizens and governments”.
