Chalmers to push G20 to break global tax deal impasse
Treasurer Jim Chalmers will discuss an ambitious rewrite of global tax rules with G20 finance ministers at meetings next week in India, after three days of talks to rescue the plan produced new timelines and progress on technical details.
The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development is wrangling more than 130 countries for the deal to set a minimum global corporate tax rate and bring tech giants fully into the international tax net.
