Centrelink work bans loom as unions press for inflation compensation

Brewing union discontent over Labor’s commitment to real wage growth for both federal and state public sector workers is expected to focus on Services Australia, and unions are moving to take industrial action at Centrelink and Medicare offices.

The looming industrial action is expected to initially hit back-office services, and work bans will focus on disrupting corporate activities rather than front-line services.
