As the Labor government prepares for an election, any public momentum for its agenda and achievements keeps being blown off course by the will and whims of Donald Trump.
Every time the Albanese government attempts to steady itself for an imminent election, another major shock seems to knock it off course.
The epicentre of these constant shockwaves is, of course, something over which the Albanese government has the most minimal influence let alone control. Not that Australia is alone in this dilemma.
