Pandemic reality has finally hit Byron Bay after two infected travellers from Brisbane visited the popular NSW north coast hide away over the weekend.

As COVID-19 ripped through the globe, the small coastal town had become the darling of the international film set and rich sea changers from Sydney and Brisbane, fuelling a 40 per cent boom in real estate and record tourist numbers as southerners fled big city lockdowns.
