Business chiefs put steel and green energy on PM’s China agenda

The leaders of some of Australia’s and China’s biggest companies will urge Anthony Albanese to unleash greater collaboration across a raft of industries to capitalise on repairing bilateral ties with our biggest trading partner, as the prime minister embarks on the longest visit by an Australian leader to China in living memory.

The ambitious business blueprint includes future-proofing Australia’s lucrative iron ore trade to China’s mammoth steel industry, taking the political heat out of international student numbers, expanding research and development across green energy and agriculture, and providing mutual recognition of qualifications for professions such as the law.
