Boosters ‘massively increase’ protection against omicron

COVID-19 vaccine booster shots have been shown to dramatically increase defences against the omicron variant, offering as much as 98 per cent protection against severe disease and hospitalisation.
Researchers working in an ultra-secure lab at the Kirby Institute at the University of NSW have compiled the first data on the effectiveness of vaccines against the new virus strain rapidly transmitting around the world.
