Australia spends $190m on Solomons policing

Australia will spend $190 million to boost policing in the Solomon Islands, the latest move by the federal government to curb China’s security ambitions in the Pacific.
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and his Solomons counterpart Jeremiah Manele announced the agreement on Friday, confirming Australia was the security partner of choice for the country of 720,000 people.
