Australia Post will spend $400 million to boost parcel operations around the country after a 32 per cent surge in volume over the past two years and ahead of an expected record online Christmas shopping splurge.
Consumers stuck in COVID-19 lockdowns pushed delivery systems to their limit during the pandemic, with Australia Post delivering more than 10 million parcels a week around the country.
