Australia votes ‘with world’ at UN for Gaza ceasefire
Anthony Albanese has joined his Canadian and New Zealand counterparts in criticising the actions of both Israel and Hamas amid the escalating bloodshed and destruction in Gaza, as well as calling for another ceasefire and the release of the remaining Israeli citizens taken hostage.
The criticism from the three leaders came as the 193-member United Nations General Assembly voted overwhelmingly on Wednesday morning in favour of an immediate humanitarian ceasefire in the conflict.
