Australia will help Papua New Guinea authorities store and secure firearms following concerns police and military arsenals are being used to fuel tribal violence in the PNG Highlands.

The measure is one of several law enforcement and justice initiatives announced by the Albanese government following talks with counterparts in Port Moresby.
