Anthony Albanese has rejected comparisons that voter anger over cost-of-living pressures that hastened Justin Trudeau’s resignation could be fatal for his own political career, suggesting the Canadian prime minister had paid the price for being a long-term leader.
Trudeau’s political demise deprives Albanese of a key progressive ally in managing Donald Trump’s return to the White House.
