Prime Minister Anthony Albanese says he never called the boss of Qantas seeking flight upgrades, insisting he has followed disclosure rules for members of parliament to the letter.

Mr Albanese has been dogged by the growing controversy over close ties to Qantas and former chief executive, Alan Joyce, for days over revelations from a new book by former columnist for The Australian Financial Review, Joe Aston.
