Most Victorians are familiar with the saying about someone or something being “in more shit than a Werribee duck”.
Used to describe someone or something in deep trouble, the term is derived from the plight of the said birdlife, which frequents the ponds of the sewage treatment plant in the outer Melbourne suburb of Werribee.
